The Spitfire is an aircraft that needs little introduction.
The latest upgrade from Aires is designed for the Hasegawa
Spitfire Mk IX.
This set consists of over 20 resin parts and a fret of photo
etch. This set will make your Spit stand above the rest. The
photo etch set is cleverly designed to provide the framework
for the gun bay. The resin parts are bubble free and
wonderfully cast. The guns and cannons are straight with no
warpage.
A little cleanup is all that is required to bring this set
to life. You will have to thin down the inner wing area so
that it is translucent, but the resultant upgrade is worth
the extra effort.
I highly recommend this set to anyone who wants to display
their Spitfire above the rest.
