Beautifully moulded in their usual pale grey resin, Aires has captured all of the fine detail of the RA-5C Vigilante late Exhaust Nozzles in these castings.

The kit has been specifically designed for the new 1/48 scale Trumpeter kit.

Detail from the turbine through to the flaps of the exhaust nozzle aperture has been faithfully reproduced capturing the inner hot flaps and the outer cold flaps that make up the nozzle. The length of the after burner cans appears to be of the correct length in scale. The 1/72 scale version of this set was high on detail but the 1/48 scale set has even finer detail The exhaust flaps are very thin and will need to be handled carefully during removal from the moulding block.

The cooling liner (corrugated area within the afterburner has been captured nicely in the moulding and the length of the afterburner looks to be to scale.

Two nicely etched metal flame holders are included to be inserted just after the turbine and will add to the exceptional detail already provided.

Assembly will be straightforward, but moderate modelling skills will be required to use this detail set as there is some thinning of the plastic required for these exhausts to drop in.
