Hasegawa's 1/32 scale F-16 kit is supplied with the small intake and the early, smaller wheels.

Many later F-16s fitted with the "Big Mouth" intake are equipped with larger tyres and bulged gear doors. Even some F-16s with the small intake are fitted with these new wheels.

If you have Hasegawa's 1/32 scale F-16 but you want to depict one of these later machines, Cutting Edge has now released a set of large wheels and bulged gear doors as replacements for the kit parts. This is a very simple conversion - simply remove the resin parts from their casting block, paint them and use them instead of the kit parts.

Casting quality is to the same high standard as we have come to expect from Cutting Edge, and detail is very good.

As an aside, Cutting Edge has also released a 1/32 scale "Big Mouth" conversion that included these wheels and gear doors for Hasegawa's F-16, so you should consider this set if you need the "Big Mouth" intake too. Dave Williams reviewed the "Big Mouth" conversion on HyperScale in 2003.
