These stabilators have been nicely moulded by cutting
edge in both 1/32 scale and 1/48 scale. They are designed as a direct
replacement for any 1/32 scale or 1/48 scale kit for those who wish to
backdate an F-16C kit.
The stabilators are a direct replacement of the kit parts with no
cutting required but the modeller will have to carefully cut off the
resin casting blocks. The detail on the resin parts is very subtle but
nicely done.
The 1/48 scale stabilators (pictured below) have the static wick
mounting bases moulded on and require some stretched sprue to be added
for the static wicks while the 1/32 scale stabilators (pictured at the
top of the page) have the static wicks with the mounting blocks cast as
a separate item.
The F-16A Stabilators are smaller and a slightly different shape from
those of the F-16C.
Although there is some minor cutting of the resin parts from the casting
blocks a novice modeller should be able to install this set.
Highly
Recommended.
