The Academy 1/72 F-8E Crusader is a very nice, highly detailed kit in its own right. However some people are just not happy with an “out of the box” kit . CMK's latest accessories will be ideal for these modellers. That’s not to say that the rest of us “nungers” couldn’t get some fun out of them too!

The Crusader is one of a few post WWII jet fighters that I’m interested in but I’d be satisfied with resin cockpit and dropped flaps. But no, you get open gun bays with full detail, deployed refuelling probe [with full detail], open ray-dome [with full detail] inside, deployed air brakes [again with full detail] plus dropped flaps and resin cockpit. Phew, I’m getting tired just thinking about it but if you are into “detail” then these are for you. Mind you, these are not for the novice  - oh no. The modeller who attacks these has got to know his or her stuff.

As with any CMK sets, the moulding is very well done and highly detailed.

With the interior set [7095] you get the option of resin or PE instrument panel. A nice touch. The exterior set [7098] comes with a PE fret also.

Over all, I have to recommend these sets to the experienced modeller with a penchant for extra detail.

Recommended.
