CMK’s 1/72 scale Heinkel He 111H Engine Set is beautifully moulded in
their usual pale yellow resin. CMK has captured all of the fine detail
of the He 111H Engines. The set is a follow on from their excellent
control surface set and is also designed for the new Hasegawa kit and
contains 48 resin parts and 64 etched metal parts.
No cutting of the kit is required as the rear of the engine is captured
in resin and is a direct replacement for the kit nacelles. The engines
are mounted from this end.
The assembly process is very detailed with the radiator housings being
the only Hasegawa kit parts used in the nacelle assembly.
New propellers and spinners are provided and these appear to be much
finer than the Hasegawa kit offerings.
The exhaust stacks are made up of a complex process of wafers of etched
metal, but will look realistic when complete.
In the instructions CMK get a bit confused stating Tamiya kit parts
instead of Hasegawa but is easily ignored. The engine cowls are all
provided in beautifully cast resin.
The Hasegawa kit looks very nice and with this detail set will look
superb. Overall an excellent kit from CMK, but a moderate level of
modelling experience is required.
Highly Recommended.
