Contact Résine continues to release their high quality resin wheels and enhancement sets. Tonight I examine their latest releases in 1/48, 1/32 and 1/24 scales.

In 1/48 scale, we have sets of wheels for the new Eduard Mirage IIIC kit, although these wheels should fit other kits and Mirage variants too. There is also an update set for Mirage's 1/48 scale PZL P.24, which includes separate ailerons, elevators, a rudder and replacement wheels. Fabric detail is nice and fine on the control surfaces.

The focus of this batch of releases, however, is the larger scales of 1/32 and 1/24. This reflects the recent modelling interest - and indeed releases - that we have seen.

Contact Resine has releases 1/32 scale asymmetric replacement propeller blades and spinners for Trumpeter's P-38 Lightning kit. There is no jig included but alignment should be relatively easy in these larger scales.

A new Bf 109 1/24 scale propeller and spinner assembly is especially welcome as it will be applicable to many variants.

Many of the 1/24 and 1/32 scale wheels noted in the table below are replacements for Trumpeter rubber-tyred items. The resin wheels will prove more durable and are, in my opinion, easier to work with and paint.

Details of the sets under review are included below:

Conclusion

Contact Résine has selected sensible subjects for their range, and the presentation of their resin parts is really excellent.

This latest batch of accessories bodes will be especially useful for replacing questionable rubber-tyred wheels on Trumpeter kits, and enhancing details on others. Their growing range of propellers and other airframe accessories is also a pleasing trend. I do hope that we see more of these in the future.

It is also nice to see that this company maintains the very high standard noted in the reviews of their first batch of products..

All Recommended.
