Contact Résine has taken released a limited-edition 1/72 scale F-5B Conversion for Academy's 1/72 P-38 Lightning kit.

This is a simple conversion which comprises a solid resin nose, replacement wheels with covered hubs, and a decal sheet with two marking options.

The casting is up to Contact Resine's usual high standards, and detail is very good. In fact, the detail looks better on the parts than it does in the photos - something to do with the fact that the images are around three times bigger than the 1/72 scale parts! There will be minimal cleanup required.

The decals supply markings for two French aircraft - one in natural metal and the second in Olive Drab and Neutral Grey. The French markings certainly make a change from the normal on the Lightning,

This set will be exclusively available through Flight 66.

Contact Resine's 1/72 scale F-5B Recon conversion is a simple but effective offering. The inclusion of decals is a nice bonus.
