Contact Résine latest 1/32 scale releases are designed for Trumpeter's big, and very good, 1/32 scale P-38 Lightning kit.

Their 1/32 scale F-5 resin nose conversion is very simple but beautifully executed. The main element is a single-piece solid resin nose casting. The detail is second to none, and the quality of casting is excellent. The nose is almost ready to use. There are no big casting blocks - just some excess resin to remove with a sharp knife and sanding stick.

Rivet and panel line detail is very convincing. The camera lenses are recessed into the solid resin, and the windows have a recessed outline.

A set of photo-etched frames are supplied for these recessed outlines, but you'll want to cut some clear plastic to shape and glue them in place before securing the frames on top.

They don't come much easier than this.

Contact Résine's 1/32 scale F-5B Nose will be simple to install and will convey a different look to your Trumpeter P-38. The approach to the camera lenses and windows is clever, and overcomes some of the potential disadvantages of having a solid nose - this solution creates the illusion of an "interior" to the solid part.

The casting and surface detail are also beautiful to behold.
