The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A series was fitted with three different styles of
propeller blade. Eagle Editions has released propeller and spinner sets
depicting all three variants.
The set being reviewed represents the final style of propeller - the
broad-bladed wooden 9-12176A.
Four parts are supplied in grey resin - three propeller blades and a
replacement spinner. The spinner offers two benefits. Firstly, it has
been designed to fit the propeller blades, so no surgery to kit parts
will be required. Secondly, it is a more accurate shape.
A fifth resin part is also included. This is a jig to simplify the
task of drilling an accurately centred hole for the propeller shaft in
the back of the spinner.
Eagle Parts' 1/32 scale prop and spinner set will be a very useful
accessory for anyone building a late-version Wurger (or, for that
matter, an early variant retrofitted with the wooden propeller).
Recommended.
