J. Rutman Productions has released a set of resin wheels for
Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F4F-4.
This simple set supplies three resin parts - two main wheels with the
tyres cast in place and a small tyre for the tail wheel.
The resin parts are well detailed and are a desirable replacement for
the black rubber tyres supplied in the Trumpeter kit. The resin will be
easier to paint and most likely more durable in the long term. Also,
there are no centreline seams to clean up on the Rutman wheels.
Detail on the wheels is excellent. The tread pattern is crisp and the
hub detail, front and rear, is much more accurate than Trumpeter's
attempt.
Installation couldn't be simpler - use the resin parts as direct
replacement for their kit counterparts.
This is an inexpensive and very useful accessory for anybody who
plans to build Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F4F-4 Wildcat.
