J. Rutman Productions has released a replacement resin cockpit for
Trumpeter's 1/32 scale Lightning.
The set comprises 22 parts in cream coloured resin. The set
completely replaces the Trumpeter kit parts, and includes radio, battery
and a convincing fabric-textured coaming..
The resin parts are well detailed and a definite improvement over the
cockpit supplied with the kit.
The parts are cleanly moulded, but there are a tiny pinholes here and
there. These will best be treated with a coat of Mr Surfacer followed by
sanding and polishing. Some very fine resin "flash" will be simple to
clean up with a sharp knife and a sanding stick.
Recommended to experienced modellers.
