J. Rutman Productions continue to exploreLightning variants with
their P-38M two-seater Night Fighter.
The set includes the distinctive "hump" behind the pilot's cockpit,
the interior for the radar operator's position, radar pod and clear
canopy for the radar operator.
The parts are cleanly moulded, but there are a few tiny pinholes here
and there, especially in the radar pod. Some very fine resin "flash"
will be simple to clean up with a sharp knife and a sanding stick.
The vacform canopy for the radar operator is very clear and free of
distortion.
The P-38M Lightning might be considered to be the most unusual of all
the variants. J. Rutman's conversion now provides a relatively simple
yet comprehensive method to build this twin-boomed night fighter in 1/32
scale.
Recommended to experienced modellers.
