Trumpeter's 1/32 scale P-38 Lightning is a substantial kit, so Jerry
Rutman's new nose landing gear leg set will be helpful in ensuring that
the model is securely supported, especially under all that noseweight!
This Rutman set comprises a single gear leg in cast white metal plus
two resin parts representing the oleo scissors and the tow hook.
Casting is very nice indeed. The metal gear leg has a faint seam that
will easily be scraped off with a hobby blade (I often use the back of
the blade for this type of task).
One other advantage of this leg is that it is longer than the kit
part, imparting the correct, higher sit to the Trumpeter kit.
This is a simple accessory that will make a noticeable difference to
your Trumpeter 1/32 P-38 Lightning.
Recommended.
