When you look inside the cockpit of a WWII airplane one
of the first things that you notice is the gunsight. Most times the kit
gunsight is nothing more than an oversized piece of clear plastic that
loosely represents the actual item. Quick Boost fixes this problem.

Each set includes six exquisitely detailed gunsights
cast in light grey resin. There are no bubbles or defects noted on any
of the examples. Each set of gunsights includes clear acetate reflector
pieces. The Mk VIII set includes a fret of photo etch for the ring site
and the mount portion of the sight.
The instructions are straight forward and explains the construction
process. The instructions also include suggested aircraft right down to
the specific variant, ie. P-47D-20-RE. There are no color guides, but
that should prove no problem as most are flat black. It is up to the
modeler to determine the best way to mount the gunsight to the kit.
Normally I just use a pin vise and a piece of wire to mount them.
These sets will only take minimal effort to cleanup and assemble. The
instruction sheet is on a piece of cardboard that shows where the parts
go. That is all that is really required to assemble these sets.
Due to the low cost, multiple aircraft that can be detailed and the
excellent detail, I highly recommend these gunsights to anyone who wants
to add a little extra to their model.
